In a large saucepan, over medium-high heat, combine water and sugar. Bring to the boil, stir regularly. Add pears and reduce heat to low. Simmer, covered, turning pears occasionally for 30 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat and allow to sit in saucepan with lid on to keep warm.
In a small bowl set over a small saucepan of boiling water, place pieces of dark chocolate. Stir continuously until melted. Add Vitasoy Soy Milky Regular and stir until evenly combined.
Remove pears from syrup and place each pear in a bowl and top with chocolate sauce. Serve immediately.
