THE ICED COFFEE BUZZ – NOW IN SOY

Vitasoy has launched Soy Milky Iced Coffee this week in response to consumer demand for a non-dairy, lactose free iced coffee.

The launch coincides with new data that reveals iced coffee is one of Australia’s impulse drinks of choice and, after 8% growth last year, now outperforms cola (1).  Now people who prefer the taste or health benefits of soy can enjoy one of Australia’s biggest selling beverages.

“We asked our fans what flavour soymilk Vitasoy should develop next and iced coffee was a clear winner,” said Beth Roberts, Senior Brand Manager, Vitasoy.

“Non-dairy drinkers and people who like to incorporate soy into their milk repertoire can now enjoy iced coffee, which has previously been limited to dairy milk based products,” she added.

Since announcing the launch of Soy Milky Iced Coffee in a one litre pack, Vitasoy’s Facebook page has been bombarded with messages of delight from fans – as well as requests for a ready-to-drink 600ml version, which the company says it will investigate.

“Vitasoy has a highly engaged community of Facebook fans who provide us with insights into how we can build our product range to better suit their needs,” said Ms Roberts.

“With this latest launch, our fans can be reassured that we listen and take on board their comments,” she concluded.

Soy Milky Iced Coffee is made with real coffee for a delicious flavour and a caffeine kick and is free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.  Made from locally grown soybeans here in Australia, it contains less than 2% fat and naturally contains high quality protein.
